Statistics service says Russia’s GDP grows 1.5% in 2017
MOSCOW, Feb 1 (PRIME) -- The Federal State Statistics Service has preliminarily assessed Russia’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth in 2017 at 1.5%, it said on Thursday.
GDP amounted to 92.082 trillion rubles in current prices in the year. The physical GDP volume index stood at 101.5% compared with 2016, and the index deflator amounted to 105.5%, the service said.
The assessment is much worse than the Economic Development Ministry’s 2.1% forecast for Russia’s GDP growth.
